Connecting with strangers

Updated Wednesday, January 25, 2012  ::  Views (501)

As the saying goes, when one door closes another one opens.   But I'm challenging that quote by saying, why do you have to close doors at all?

As most of you know, I am heavily involved with Meetup.  I organize 2 groups (Ottawa Swap Meet & Ottawa Connecting women).  One is a swap meet for clothing, books, toys, receipts, etc.  The other is a large group of Ottawa Entrepreneurs & Business women who network together to share ideas, passions and information.  I am also involved with something like 12 other groups, social groups, business groups and or course mommies groups.

Last night I attended an event with Young and New to Ottawa - what a fan tastic evening. $2 bowling with a random group of 50 new friends was a hoot!

If your looking for a great way to get out and meet some new friends have a look at the following.  Let's face it, once you are done school, and if you aren't part of an active work place, or sports group, it can be hard to meet new friends.
